I'mmmmmmmmmmm back............ !!
Sometimes life gets in the way.. and boy has it LOL
I do hope everyone has been well and that you all have been *playing safe*:) I will attempt to catch-up on everyone's blogs but that may take a while since there are 1000's to catch up on *EEEKKK*
I, myself, have been well and working as I can but my family is falling to pieces on me.
I remember, as I was growing up, that I used to tease my Grandmother, telling her she would outlive me. She is still kicking (97) and it just might happen LOL. She has not been the one that I have been worrying about.
The end of last year we had to deal with 2 deaths that were both unexpected. Now I am dealing with my stepson. This kid (he would kill me if he knew I called him that), is 41 and just had surgery to remove his left kidney. There was a 6cm renel cell carcinoma in it. The dr removed it with the fatty tissue but it had already gone thru the renal capsule and into the fatty tissue. Trust me when I say that we have gotten the best oncologist in our area..
He came to stay with me when he was released from the hospital last friday. (They live in a 3rd floor apartment and there was no way he was going to get up all those steps.) He decided, after they took his staples out, that he wanted to go home... I do understand how he felt, we all feel better when we are home. While he was here we talked a lot about life in general. He has a positive attitude and I know he will beat this but I still worry. He has two girls, 6 and 9, and all I want is for him to watch them grow and walk them down the isle. Not to much to wish for.
If you have kids, give them that big hug.. no matter how old they are.. even if they don't want it .. give it to them. This child may not be my blood but he is still mine.. His mother passed in 95 from breast cancer so I am the only Mom he has. His father (my ex) might be a jerk but I will deal with the *jerk* ...
Say an extra prayer for him please... as I know you will.
Hugssssssssss
